Assembling a Linear Motion Stage

As we start to assemble more and more complex modules, we will eventually begin replacing conventional hardware with discretely assembled functional devices. This can be done iteratively, replacing small subsystems at a time. For example, the picture below depicts an assembled linear motion stage which replaces the structure, bearings, belts, and motors of a conventional motion stage.
